Modelling wax is fun for the whole family

Rasmus Klump does more than explore and eat pancakes. He also loves playing with modelling wax, and so do we. That's why, for the first time, you can try our modelling wax workshop, where you can come and make your very own Rasmus Klump in modelling wax.

The workshop lasts for 3 hours and then Rasmus Klump comes by for 3×30 min. and says hello to all his friends. We will bring tables, chairs, modelling wax in different colours and templates to make Rasmus Klump. You can choose to make your Rasmus Klump on paper, or standing as in the picture below

Anyone can join in, and there's no upper or lower limit to who can come along and play with modelling wax

AND, of course, you get to take his figure home

Make your own modelling wax

Ingredients for modelling wax

2 dl salt
5 dl flour
2 tbsp citric acid, approved for food use
1 tsp oil
5 dl water
colour paste or fruit colour

Recipe for modelling wax

Put all the ingredients in a saucepan and cook, stirring, for about 3 minutes. Remove the pan from the heat and allow to cool. It may seem a little too wet in texture now that it's hot, but that will change when it cools down. Once the temperature is to work with, the modelling wax can be thoroughly divided into portions and kneaded with fruit colour or colour paste (I recommend using a pair of plastic gloves).

The model wax can be stored in an airtight jar and reused again and again. I'd say it can survive for at least a month (but by then the colours will probably be well muddy by the time they get mixed up in the play, again and again)
